Will Little represented Aotearoa on the world stage at the 2026 World Cross Country Championships held in Tallahassee, Florida.
Competing in the Senior Men’s 10km event against some of the best athletes from around the world, Will placed 73rd out of approximately 130 competitors. While the race conditions were challenging, the experience of competing at this level and representing New Zealand was a significant achievement.

Following his return home, Will continued to build on this experience with strong performances on the national stage. He went on to win the New Zealand 3000m Championship in Christchurch, and also secured 3rd place in the 5000m at the New Zealand Track and Field Championships in Auckland, representing Hawke’s Bay.
These results reflect not only Will’s dedication to his sport but also his ability to compete at a high level both internationally and nationally.

Will’s journey highlights what is possible through commitment, resilience, and the drive to compete among the best. Representing Wairoa and New Zealand on the world stage is an achievement to be proud of, and WYAT is proud to support rangatahi pursuing excellence in their chosen pathways.
